What happens next

Works on every Claude plan; ChatGPT on Business, Enterprise and Edu

  1. Add Tellnod in Claude.

    Claude opens Add custom connector with the name and address filled in. Click Continue, then Add.

  2. Connect and sign in with Google.

    Tellnod now appears in your connectors. Click Connect, choose your Google account and allow access. Claude brings you back when it is done.

  3. Start a new chat and ask.

    Paste the prompt below. If Claude does not use Tellnod, click +, open Connectors and turn Tellnod on.

If something does not match

The button did not open the Add custom connector window

Sign in to claude.ai in your browser and press the button again. You can also open Settings → Connectors, click + Add, choose Add custom connector and paste the name and address shown in step 1. On a phone, add Tellnod on the web first; it then works in the Claude apps with the same account.

I don’t see “Add custom connector”

On Free, you can have one custom connector, so remove one you no longer use. On Team or Enterprise, only owners can add custom connectors: ask an owner to add Tellnod under Organization settings → Connectors. Then find Tellnod in your own Connectors list and click Connect.

I signed in with the wrong Google account

Your Tellnod workspace belongs to the Google account you sign in with. In Settings → Connectors, open Tellnod and disconnect it, then click Connect again and choose the right account on Google’s account picker.

A chat still asks me to authorize, or Tellnod is missing

Chats opened before you connected keep the old state. Start a new chat. If Tellnod is still missing, click + then Connectors, turn Tellnod on, or choose Manage connectors and check that it is connected.

Using ChatGPT instead

  1. 1Open ChatGPT and go to Plugins.
  2. 2Select +, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. 3Name it Tellnod and paste the connector address under Connection.
  4. 4Confirm the sign-in settings, then select Create as a plugin.
  5. 5Start a new chat, type @ and choose Tellnod.

Tellnod works in ChatGPT too, depending on your plan. Custom MCP servers depend on your plan and your workspace’s settings.

What Claude can do with Tellnod

Claude only reaches Tellnod through the tools below. Your AI app may also ask you before it uses one.

Reads when you ask

  • Your brand, contacts and audiences

Changes your workspace when you ask

  • Imports contacts, after you confirm consent on the card
  • Creates audiences and drafts
  • Sends tests, only to your own verified address
  • Prepares a send for your approval

Only you, on the card

  • Confirm a send: the AI cannot call this
  • Cancel any time before it goes out
  • Revoke send permission from your account card

Tellnod never emails people who unsubscribed or bounced, and nothing sends without your Confirm. Nothing goes out until you press Confirm on the card. Claude and ChatGPT are named here only to describe where Tellnod works.
