# Export CYBERBIZ members and send an email campaign

> To email your CYBERBIZ members, filter the member list to people who subscribed to your offers, export them with the newsletter consent column, save the file as CSV UTF-8, import it into Tellnod in Claude, preview and test the email, then confirm the send. Only members who agreed to marketing may receive it.

## From CYBERBIZ export to sent campaign

1. **Filter to members who want your offers.** In the CYBERBIZ admin, open 會員 (Members), then 所有會員 (All members). Add the filter 是否訂閱商家優惠, which finds members willing to receive newsletters [S2].
2. **Select and export the members.** Click 已選取0個會員 to select every member that matches, click 匯出 (Export) and agree to the data protection terms [S1].
3. **Open the file from your inbox.** CYBERBIZ sends the file to the email address of the account you signed in with, and you open it in Excel [S1].
4. **Save it as CSV UTF-8.** In Excel, save a copy as CSV UTF-8. Tellnod reads only UTF-8 files, so Chinese names stay intact.
5. **Import it in Claude.** With Tellnod connected, attach the CSV and say it is your CYBERBIZ export. Tellnod checks the consent column and asks if anything is unclear.
6. **Preview, test and confirm.** Describe the campaign, check the desktop and mobile preview, send a test to yourself, then press Confirm on the confirmation card. Nothing is sent before that.

## Email only members who agreed to marketing

Having a member’s email address in CYBERBIZ is not permission to send marketing. Email only members who agreed to receive newsletters from your shop. CYBERBIZ applies the same limit to its own EDM tool, which sends only to registered members who ticked that they are willing to receive newsletters [S3].

Tellnod follows the same rule. It imports only people who agreed to receive marketing, keeps unsubscribed people unsubscribed, and records where each contact came from as a [consent record](https://tellnod.com/glossary#consent-record). For the legal background, see [email marketing consent laws](https://tellnod.com/guides/email-marketing-consent-laws).

> Shoppers who checked out without registering are not members who ticked the newsletter box. CYBERBIZ itself suggests filtering them out before importing an email list into its EDM tool [S3]. Apply the same care to any list you bring to Tellnod.

## Export members with the newsletter consent column

Member export is available on every CYBERBIZ plan [S1]. The CYBERBIZ admin is in Chinese, so the labels below are given as they appear, with an English gloss.

| Task | Label in the admin | Meaning |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Open the member list | 會員 > 所有會員 | Members, All members |
| Add a filter | 新增篩選條件 | Add filter condition |
| Filter by consent | 是否訂閱商家優惠 | Subscribed to shop offers |
| Select every match | 已選取0個會員 | 0 members selected (click to select) |
| Select all members | 選取全部會員 | Select all members |
| Export | 匯出 | Export |

There are three ways to choose who is exported [S1]:

- Filter, then select every match: add the filter 是否訂閱商家優惠 (found under 會員基本資料, basic member data) and click 已選取0個會員 to select every member that matches [S1][S2]. This is the safest choice for an email campaign.
- Tick members by hand in the list.
- Select all members, then rely on the consent column to tell who agreed.

CYBERBIZ lists the member file’s fields as name, email, mobile, birthday, gender, notes, tags, company, phone, address, whether the member accepts newsletters (是否接受電子報) and whether store pickup is allowed [S1]. Keep the 是否接受電子報 column in the file you import, even after filtering, so each row carries its own consent. CYBERBIZ’s documentation does not list the values this column uses, so look at your file before importing.

## Save the file as CSV UTF-8

The exported member file opens in Excel [S1]. Tellnod imports CSV, so choose Save As in Excel and pick CSV UTF-8 as the file type. You can delete columns you do not need, but keep the email and consent columns.

The encoding matters for Chinese names and for consent. A file saved in another encoding, such as Big5, can turn Chinese text into the wrong characters, including a value that said the member declined newsletters. Tellnod therefore refuses any file that is not UTF-8 and imports nothing from it. Save the file again as CSV UTF-8 and import it again.

## Import, preview and send with Tellnod in Claude

Tellnod is an [MCP connector](https://tellnod.com/glossary#mcp-connector) for writing, previewing and sending marketing email from Claude or ChatGPT. After you [connect Tellnod](https://tellnod.com/connect), the whole campaign happens in one conversation. Here is how Ninefold, an apparel shop on CYBERBIZ, sends a restock note for its knitwear:

1. Attach the CSV on the import card or paste it into the chat, and say where it came from: “Import this CYBERBIZ member export. Only members who accept newsletters should be subscribed.”
2. Tellnod removes duplicate emails, skips invalid addresses and keeps unsubscribed people unsubscribed. If the file has no consent column, it asks whether these people agreed to receive marketing. If a column might mean do not send, it shows the values and asks which ones mean do not send.
3. Describe the campaign: “Email members who accept newsletters that the cable-knit sweaters are back in stock, in Traditional Chinese, with a link to the collection.” Claude drafts it and shows a desktop and mobile preview.
4. Ask for changes in plain words, then: “Send a test to me.” The test goes only to you.
5. When you are ready, Claude prepares the send and Tellnod shows the [approval card](https://tellnod.com/glossary#approval-card) with the recipient count, the people left out and the schedule. The campaign is scheduled only when you press Confirm. The AI cannot press it for you.

## FAQ

### Can I email every member in my CYBERBIZ export?

No. Email only members who agreed to receive newsletters from your shop. Filter on 是否訂閱商家優惠 before exporting, and keep the 是否接受電子報 column so Tellnod can read it.

### Which CYBERBIZ plans can export members?

CYBERBIZ’s documentation marks member export as available on all plans. Custom member fields are limited to the enterprise plan.

### Where does the exported file go?

CYBERBIZ sends it to the email address of the admin account you signed in with. Open it in Excel and save it as CSV UTF-8 before importing it into Tellnod.

### Why does Tellnod refuse my exported file?

Tellnod reads CSV files saved as UTF-8 only. An Excel file, or a CSV in another encoding such as Big5, is refused and nothing is imported. Save it as CSV UTF-8 and import it again.
